Blue Tape
It was not uncommon to use blue tape on finished wood floors before painting or to hold down rosin paper or other protective material. American Hardwood only recommends using tape listed by the manufacter. The tape prefered is Scotch Blue Tape for Delicate Surfaces. Use of regular blue tape isn't recommended and may cause damage by removing the polyurethane on your hardwood floors. In most cases, the only remedy is to fully refinish your floors. Please allow significate time for your floors to cure before use of any tape. Humidity in a home will delay the curing process and any tape may cause damage. Please call one of our project managers before use of any products on your new floors.
